Suet arrives today

darkcedarsI was only going to do my one dish, but put a suet cage and a couple woodpecker blocks on today's grocery delivery. Considering where to put it - part of me thinks hanging it off the porch would be safer from other animals, but hanging it on the fence to the dog's area is more visible to the birds. Also I don't really want them hanging out under the porch for mess.
Two additional doves in the yard this morning! Despite the fact that the feed is cheap and has a lot of corn, that corn is getting eaten now.
I also have a "new" bird found by my Merlin app, the white-breasted nuthatch. I was able to pick it out after the app popped up the name, it was sort of hanging on the side of a tree.
