Today is sunny and mild.
I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows and two fox squirrels in the forest garden. A male fox squirrel was on the hopper feeder. Another squirrel discovered the corncob that I hug recently.
EDIT 11/13/23 -- I dug up a huge clump of daffodils in the daffodil bed.
EDIT 11/13/23 -- I planted 10 of the salvaged daffodils in the yard by the house and I'm nowhere near done.
I've seen at least two dark-eyed juncos and a robin at the water dish in the forest garden. Enough leaves have fallen that it's readily visible now, so it's getting more use. Also the weather has been dry so there aren't puddles available.
EDIT 11/13/23 -- I planted 10 more daffodils and still have some left.
It's 4:39 and the sun has just set. I might make one more round.
EDIT 11/13/23 -- I planted the last 9 daffodils and that's the end. In other words, I dug 29 transplants of small to medium size from ONE patch the size of my hand, and I think I replanted 3 of the biggest in the same place. No wonder they didn't bloom as much this past spring.
As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
