Birdfeeding: Friends of a Feather Flock Together

Today is sunny and mild, a beautiful fall day.

I haven't fed the birds yet.  I've seen a flock of house finches and sparrows, several starlings, at least two goldfinches, a black-capped chickadee, a robin, a downy woodpecker, and a squirrel running around the treetops.  :D

I took some pictures around the yard.

EDIT 11/2/24 -- We started cleaning up a patch of the south lot where we're going to put a garden shed.  We picked up sticks and raked leaves.   Then we dumped the leaves on the tulip bed, so that's covered. \o/

EDIT 11/2/24 -- I fed the birds.  A very cheeky titmouse flew down and buzzed at me.

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

I took a few more pictures of the yard, mostly the south lot to show the "after" view.

EDIT 11/2/24 -- I planted some of the extra blue grape hyacinths along the front of the daffodil bed.  I still had some left over.

I've seen a male fox squirrel at the hopper feeder, and a female cardinal along with house finches in the fly-through feeder.

EDIT 11/2/24 -- I planted the rest of the extra blue grape hyacinths in the amethyst garden.

EDIT 11/2/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

EDIT 11/2/24 -- I picked up long sticks from the south lot and took them to the firepit.

As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
