Today is cloudy, steamy, and warm. It looks like we got more rain last night. Everything is still wet.
I fed the birds. I've seen a few house finches.
The first of the sunflowers are opening in the septic garden, streaked bronze and yellow. I'm annoyed that one whole plant broke off. >_<
EDIT 8/1/24 -- I cut flowers for our Lammas ritual. It occurs to me that while I have lots of flowers blooming, most are wildflowers meant to stay in the yard rather than those designed for bouquets. But I got a goodly handful and they looked pretty.
EDIT 8/1/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.
Clouds are towering up, so it's going to rain somewhere.
Fireflies are coming out.
As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
